The man in the Train – Chapter 2 ( htmh2)

 

Nandini let’s go…we are already getting late… geet screamed for her sis, already making her way out of the mansion, only to be stopped by Mr. Suraj.

Going to college? Then first inform Mr. Handa.

Geet makes a face for they were already getting late for their college.

Where is dad? She asked hurriedly.

He is in his study…

Just then Nandini arrived there and both made their way to their father’s study, only to be halted on their steps as they watched Sameer, their father’s friend’s son walking out his study.

Both shared a look and Nandini instantly backed away, not liking his presence a bit because he was the chosen groom for her by her father. Geet gave him disgusting look seeing his nerdy looks with big glasses on his little nose.

Nanidni twisted her lips looking away.

Geet thought something and walked up to him…hello mr. Sameer…My JIjaji.’ 

She gave nandini a teasing smile to which later just turned her face with pout on her lips.  

He gave her smile but his smile haltered when geet pulled his glasses away from his eyes, you look handsome without these…dont he uncle? She asked from suraj who stood behind them.

Of Course..he is handsome! He boosted.

But I can’t see without my glasses…give me it…he was like blind man searching for his glasses.

 

Geet and nandini chuckled silently as geet walked away from there only to watch him walking into suraj…

What are you doing? Suraj tried to pull him away from his body.

Give me my glasses back…

Did you change your voice…why is your voice like this…? Sameer asked, making the girls giggled behind his back.

 you can’t see without glasses..? geet asked teasingly.

No I can’t.. Sameer replied, blinking his eyes.

Both girls give thumbs up to each other with giggles..

Then don’t forget your glasses at the time of marriage or else you will be marrying a priest instead of Nandini.’ Suraj added with humour.

Just then, Raj walked out of the study and watched how both his girls again made fun of the poor guy…and enjoying themselves.

He faked a laugh before shouting at them, “Shut up…” he walked up to them, stop our mischievous acts now…give him his spectacles back now.

Geet silently handed him his specs before turning her attention to her father.

Dad, we are going to college. Said nandini.

Alright…

I am also going on that way only…if you want I can drop you. Sameer said wearing his specs for he couldn’t miss the chance to spend time with nandini.

No…geet will drop me. Nanindi protested softly, not wanting to make her father angry further.

No.. geet will go by her car….you go with sameer…raj stated with finality in his voice that made both girls agree with making faces.

Best of luck, Geet said to nandini before walking out.

Sameer , i will meet your father tomorrow…and your marriage will be fix soon. Raj started giving Nandini a mini shock.

I’m getting late for college..nandini said a little angrily to the guy who nodded before bidding bye to her father and both walked out.

Outside, Geet couldn’t stay quiet…she went to Sameer’s car and blew out the air from his tire from her hairpin.

Sameer walked out with excited steps, come on my darling… let’s go my queen.. he was being melodramatic which nandini couldn’t like..she made an angry face before replying to him, my name is nandini!

 

Sameer ignored her taunt and continued his love antics… our this togetherness aur yeh khubsurat hawa…

hello mr. Hawa… they heard geet’s voice from behind..they turned around only to see geet calling out from her own car, ‘aapki hawa chali gayi, mr. Sameer…I mean …your car’s…she tried to hold her laugh seeing his baffle expressions.

Now i have to go with geet only, as i am getting late for my college. Saying so, Nandini made a run from there as Geet opened the door of her car, she sat inside and both the girls giggled as Geet zoomed off her car by his side , making him jump back…

Nonsense…he fumed thinking, I know where you go every evening, Nandini…just wait and watch now what I will do…he thought evilly.

….

It was early evening…when nandini was again at the same park to meet Kunal…they sat at the bench having their moments unknown of their surroundings.

When Raj Handa’s car stopped at a distance watching his daughter close to another guy.

Now you believed in my words, Uncle. I was saying the truth only. Sameer spoke as he watched with hidden smirk. Raj handa was boiling in anger to see his daughter’s acts behind his back.

….

Don’t disturb me dad… I am missing my mother…*sob*

Raj Handa heard the tap recording which was placed just before his eyes on the table while he couldn’t control his rage…he continued to march from one corner of the room to another.

While there sat his two mischievous daughters with heads hanging down in shame. They were caught badly by their father and now there was no escape of any punishment from him.

But dad…’ 

Geet tried to talk but his one furious glare was enough to shut her mouth…he looked nothing but like the roaring lion she had always described to nandini about.

Shut up! He roared…not a word from your mouth. it’s you who has spoiled her.

And you…he turned to nandini… in the name of college you visit some young guy while your marriage is fixed here. He blasted on the poor girl.

No dad…’ she has gone to just take the notes..geet tried to save her sis.

Taking notes…? Raj taunted angrily…’as if we never go to any college…’ he mocked.

I know dad..i can see that Sameer has spoiled your mind with these things…nandini said with cute pout.

What!? I am not some child that I will let someone do that to me… i have seen with my own eyes, how you were in the arms of that boy. In a romantic mood…any explanation…? he asked angrily…his patience was breaking…

No…nandini shook her head with pout.

Now… roy and john ( bodyguards )  will come with you to the college…after college, you both are going to come with them. Understood. He gave the final warning to both girls before storming out of the room.

What was the need to go to that park? You don’t find another place. Geet blasted on her sis in total rage for being the target of her father’s anger when her sweet sis was at fault today.

 “Romantic mood…my foot…”

Next day the same thing repeated…even guards couldn’t be of any help to raj handa as his daughter was one step ahead of him. She dodged the guards cleverly…again coming to her mischievous self…

Raj Handa was losing his patience now with the both girls, it’s your naughty act only i know that.raj blasted on geet..she is scared cat, ‘ he pointed at nandini..she wont do anything sort of this..but you are spoiling her as well.

 Enough is enough is now! I am appointing the governess for you both girls now! he declared and next day there was a beautiful lady in mid age , standing in the handa mansion to teach the girls some discipline.

At home the governess and out of the mansion, those guards of her father…it was getting difficult for Nandini to meet kunal…

At one point even when Kunal tried to talk to her father..he only insulted him without letting him speak. He was hurt and angry, and even blasted at Nandini, leaving her crying.

At night, he came to meet her through the balcony, unfortunately was seen by the governess and got scolded by her father…

Now it  limits… enough is enough now… now I am sending both of you to Goa. He further informed them, I have done your admissions in college there…you both are going to live there in my friend’s house…

The decision was made and arrangements were done for both girls…

Geet thought for sometime and came to conclusion…she somehow convince her dad to book train tickets instead of plane. Her father had to agree after seeing both the girls pouting faces.

Inside the room, both jumped in joy at the victory of their first plan..

Now call Kunal and ask him to come to the station to pick you. Geet told nandini and later did as told by her sis.

At the station,

Geet handed kunal nandini’s suitcase, here is your parcel. She said with a wink and gave nandini a side hug.

But geet, dad had told aunty that we both are coming then..?

Don’t worry about that, that’s my headache i will manage. geet assured her sis.

But how will I marry without you! Nandini stated her worry.

Chi..i told you, didn’t i ? don’t worry about me..I will find my MK there…she said with a chuckle making both kunan to smile as well.

Let’s go…Kunal held her hand.

Nandini hugged her sis dearly and cried…

Kunal, take care of my baby sis…she is so nave…wish you all the best, said geet hugging her sis and holding kunal’s hand.

Geet was in her compartment busied in her cell phone when ticketman walked in asking about her sis,

She had got down to the *** station. Geet told him, pulling out her ipod.

Alright, so the place is empty? He asked to confirm.

When she nodded yes, he called someone, sir, plz come…’

The handsome guy in mid thirties arrived there with his bag.

You seat here for a while I will do arrangement for you in another compartment at night. The ticket man told him politely to which the man nodded with a polite smile, alright, thank you.

Geet completely ignored him minding her own business.

He cleared the throat to gain her attention when she looked up he asked politely… do you mind if I sit here!’

 

Geet gave a fake smile with a curt nod, this compartment is of two passengers.

Oh yes… he gave her a smile before moving to the front seat . He put his baggage and sat before her, opening the book to read.

Just then she played the song in her i pod…

 Hmm hmm hmm hmm hmm hmm

He immediately stopped reading the book and looked up with wide eyes.

She was lost in the song with a sweet smile hovering over her face, seeing her expressions and the way she was listening to the song with great concentration and enthusiasm, he understood her admiration for the song…or even the singer.

Jis din tum ko dekhegi nazar

 Jaane dil pe, hoga kya asar

 Rakhenge tumko nigahon mein

 Bhar lenge tumhe bahon mein

 

Small playful smile covered his lips and he thought something before clearing his throat to get her attention.

Chi..chi…excuse me, miss, I have to read my book, could you plz stop this song…what rubbish this song is. He made a face.

Sorry…geet completely shrugged off his request making a face, ‘this is my favorite singer’s song.’

Chi chi chi…his pitch is really bad…how rubbish he is singing. He taunted.

What do you know about tone or pitch…?

 

 

I don’t know about this but I know about bad voices… I think even a beggar will sing better than him.

Now geet completely lost her cool, ‘shut up!’ She blasted jumping from her seat. I am going to play the whole song…she told him in an attitude increasing the volume further.

The guy shrugged his shoulders and got up, alright now you listen to this rubbish person’s song,  i will change the compartment.

So kind of you! Please…she smiled over sweetly before twisting her lips and looked away.

Welcome ma’am… he said over sweetly before turning to walk away.

Just then one thug type guy walked in asking for the seat, Geet got startle seeing him…no no…she turned to MK holding his hand, please stay…’ he looks scary she muttered eyeing him.. while maan looked like true gentlemen and decent type.

But he will love to hear the song…’ mk added with a smirk.

‘I…I will switch it off…” 

she stammered and switched off the song before his eyes.

Now I can stay here… he said with a smirk sending the guy out of there.

Geet sighed in relief giving him a nervous smile as she saw him sitting at the seat…she walked back to her seat and sat beside him.

‘Finally…now I can read peacefully without any noise.’ He said opening his book to read while Geet cursed him silently but couldn’t do anything…
